Warlord Games visit Warlords of Walsall . . . it was meant to be!

Another somewhat late offering, not at all helped by me venturing off and laying on a beach for a few weeks, but at last here we are 🙂  Back in July the Club hosted another of our ‘all-day gaming saturdays’ and this time two of the very decent chaps from Warlord Games decided to pay us a visit; bringing with them a splendid day of demoing Black Powder and Bolt Action.

The scenario for the day was to be a trimmed down ‘Road to Borodino’ owing to the fact that nearly all of us were complete novices to the game; though this didn’t impact on us all having a great time thanks to some expert instruction from those two rogues in burgundy shirts 😉
Some of us enjoyed the game so much, that we bought some starter armies on the day (I plummed straight for le grand armee), and since then we’ve continued to have the odd skirmish and build our Napoleonic forces up.  Here are some more pictures from the day, you may find them somewhat heavily biased towards the impressive flanking action of my Russian heavy cavalry, which we’re rather splendid if I may say so myself 🙂

All in all, the Warlords of Walsall would like to say a belated thanks to the crew of Warlord Games, and we hope to see you again for games at some point in the not-too-distant future 🙂
